On April 26, following the announcement of the change of the President and CEO of MS&AD Holdings, the company held a press conference in Tokyo. The conference was attended by Noriyuki Hara, the Group’s President and CEO, and Shinichiro Funabiki, President of Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance, who will be the Group’s next President and CEO. Approximately 30 reporters from various newspapers and TV stations were in attendance at the event, which included a question-and-answer session that lasted for an hour. At the press conference, President Hara provided an explanation for his decision to change leadership at this time. He stated that he made the decision to implement a generational change at this juncture, as the company enters the second stage of the Medium-Term Management Plan. He also noted that the dual role of holding company president and operating company president would facilitate ongoing major business style reforms.Furthermore, our incoming President, Mr. Funabiki, reaffirmed the Group's objective of becoming the most reliable company for customers. He stated that the Group will swiftly implement its major business style reforms, which are crucial for achieving this goal. The Group aims to become a leading financial group in the global insurance sector, even amidst ongoing major changes in the social climate.Following the approval of the shareholders' meeting at the end of June, Mr. Funabiki will officially assume the position of President and Group CEO and Mr. Hara will assume the position of Group Chairman.#msad #insurance

MS&AD Holdings held the event for commemorating 1st anniversary of establishment of "FANPS" which is the alliance in the financial sector for the promotion of nature-positive between Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group, Development Bank of Japan, Norinchukin Bank and us in Tokyo last month. The theme of this event was "Think about Business New Growth with Nature-Positive". In this event, "Solution Catalogue Toward Nature Positive; NPS Catalog*" that FANPS had released as the result for this one year was introduced. And the guest speakers from Ministry of the Environment, Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries and Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism gave lectures about expectations and policies related to the business on nature-positive.At the end of the event, members of FANPS and Mr. Naoki Adachi, who is an adviser of sustainable management had a panel discussion about the latest trend of TNFD, the circ*mstanced around companies and future prospects for the promotion of nature-positive.The event was a success with 120 visitors.
